I’ve been loving your New Zealand posts, especially as we will be in NZ this time next year. That sounds like quite some trip. I have scary memories of kayaking in a storm in Costa Rica, so I don’t think we’ll be following your example (especially not with 8, 6 and 4 year olds!) but I’m making notes about other things you’ve seen and done. What an adventure you’re having!

WOW THAT KAYAK TRIP was one wonderful tale of adventure, beauty and good fortune. Chee is one person you’ll all never forget- what a pro! Kyle and Colly you are real heros also. Meanwhile I think I’ll join Cheryl in the RV.

Great post–a lot of fun to read. Brought back memories of a few miserable paddles in windy chop (and those two-person, fully loaded kayaks must have been a bitch to get moving). Surprised no one got sea-sick (I once had a kid vomit for about half an hour off the back of his two man while on a day trip south of A-Bay with HPA). The coastline (and the lagoons) look absolutely gorgeous. (It was 1 below when I drove to work this morning–brrr!). I’m jealous, and can’t wait to hear of your next adventure!
