I used the pictures of the river with Tannins in one of my plant physiology classes when we were talking about secondary metabolites. Thanks for the beautiful pictures

The photos are spectacular, Morgan. So great to travel vicariously with you guys. Your faces are so relaxed, grateful, wide-eyed (in a good way.) Love reading these. The run sounded awful. Your kids are never going to forget this incredible experience you are giving them!

Sarah and Morgan, We're thinking of you and hoping today is a great race day! We haven't made up on the north part of the west coast yet. You've convinced me it should be our next adventure!

Colin and Liam can't wait to see Kyle and Colly next week!

Wow! Terrific photos of what appears to be a landscape well worth all those superlatives (not to mention the mention of Thoreau). Love the combination of funky natural and human history that you guys are getting to steep yourself in (speaking of 'steeping' and teabags, that water reminded me of the brownish run-off from the Kohalas after a big rain--it's odd how much your travels around NZ have dredged up memories of the Big Island). Wish you could send some of that moisture this way. We need snow! (we're still playing on stuff that fell way back in early December, but a big storm may be on its way early next week--keep your fingers crossed). Was surprised to hear its been five months already. Seems like just last month that you guys were here. I bet your sense of time has been much more elastic, stretched out as it has been by so many cool adventures in so many amazing places. Stay dry. Continue to have fun. And thanks so much for letting us share in your travels!
